Corrections Policy
How to report an error to TandemLeaf and how we review, correct and update material factual information.
Accuracy matters more than preserving an old sentence. If a material fact is wrong, outdated or misleading, TandemLeaf wants to know.
How to report an issue
Email contact@tandemleaf.com or use our contact form. Include the page URL, the statement you believe is incorrect and, when possible, the source that supports the correction.
What happens next
We review the report
We check the page, the source cited by the reader and the primary sources used for the article.
We determine materiality
A factual error that changes the reader’s understanding or decision is treated differently from a typo or formatting issue.
We update the page
Material errors are corrected as promptly as practical. Minor grammar, formatting or link fixes may be made without a formal note.
We preserve clarity
When a correction materially changes the meaning of a page, TandemLeaf may add a note explaining what changed.
Product changes are not always corrections
An insurer can legitimately change a deductible option, limit, waiting period, state availability or claims process after an article is published. Updating the article to reflect a later product change is an editorial update, not necessarily a correction of the original reporting.
